Probably needed to be taken more seriously by large enterprises. No way a public company that touts protecting customer data as a core part of their brand wants to be associated with such a whimsical brand. Putting myself in a security reviewer role...Chorus just feels so much safer.
Interesting take! I don't mind whimsy at all. They just seem very Gong-focused rather than customer-focused. Their marketing is very "look at me!"

Iโve been wondering why my company acquired Chorus when Gong had better brand recognition, and I feel like their image was part of it. Chorus is a great tool though, so no complaints here. Before the acquisition we used Gong and it worked just fine, but their sales and marketing are justโฆ.so cringey.

I like the sales content they put out and people who used gong really like it from the ones I've talked to - They just drink their own kool-aid too much and I'm 99% positive their sales culture is built around building your personal brand and blasting things about gong on LI
I like gong, i think their marketing & sales advice is great
