Graduation Goggles

For anyone who doesn't understand the reference...

I received a job offer today from the company I referenced in a previous post (please see I am Conflicted).

The offer is great. The company is legit. The issue is, I really like the people and culture at my current job. The main reason I am considering leaving is money. I work in TV which is hella old school so I get paid pennies compared to most people I work with and my peers since I am new business and don't have a huge book to work off.

Am I insane for feeling this way (hesitant)? Any advice on people who have left situations like this would be awesome.

Thanks savages

Culture matters, but to me...money matters more. That's why I'm in sales. As long as I'm not leaving an amazing culture to go to an awful one, I'll take more money every time.ย

It's hard to not have some pangs of possible regret when leaving something that you have enjoyed.ย ย

But you're in sales for the money.ย  ย If the culture is good, yeah, you'll miss your old work friends, but you'll have new ones AND more money.

Money is great, but it is nearly impossible to be successful in sales when you are miserable. Ask if you can talk to a couple of their current sales reps to see if you would get along with them.ย

I look at culture and money both. If i have good people around, I'll for sure make more money.

I'd go for the new gig. Getting paid less in a dying industry is not a good roadmap to success.

I am torn, I like money... and I make a good amount. I could make more but I am currently not stressed good work-life balance, I have 2 good bosses, not micro-managed, work anywhere between 4-8 hours a day, have the ability to hit quota, and because of my work-life balance, I started a company and have time to build that. So I like money but I like my work like balance more
