Title says it all, but I will give more details.
I joined my current role around 10 months ago. The company is amazing, the people are awesome, and I fucking killed it in the first 6 months. Crushed ramp, Rookie of the Year, all the glory and cash.
The next FY comes around, my manager gets promoted, I get a new manager and a new book. My new manager and I do not get a long at all. He has been micromanaging me, borderline verbally abusive to our team, and is extremely hard to work with. I have tried to be direct and ask for feedback on how to work with him or what I can do to improve, but he never is up front and just goes on about “need more grit, need more hustle, do more.”
So at what point do I look to move companies or teams? I love the company and the people, but at some point I have to look out for myself and mental health.
