So glad its Friday. Big weekend plans of doing as little as possible after a full week of travel and talking to people I'd normally never want to talk to.
So I thought I would throw out there a "what did you learn this week?" discussion.
What did ***I*** learn? I learned the value of getting people to calendar our next meeting while still with them. Its a constant process of learning and driving that point home for me personally.
Case in point - went to a conference a couple weeks back. Met that *1* contact which made the whole show worth attending. We agreed to a next meeting. She was about to say "email me...." and I jumped and said "lets throw something on the calendar now since we both have out phones out. She agreed.
Fast Forward - we met and it was good. Found out though that she'd NOT been in the office the previous 2 weeks and the odds of getting on her calendar post-conference would have been frustrating to say the least.
