Has anyone had success with emailing videos?

I've sent over 600 vidyards and haven't booked one meeting.

Responses are up but very rarely will a prospect actually watch the video and book a meeting.

Anyone have success with videos? What am I doing wrong?

EDIT: Our team just cancelled our Vidyard plans. Woohoo!

check the search bar. this has been talked about a ton.
mainly ppl have said no. video has not produced any significant results.
I feel like video prospecting was ALLLL over linked in and all the big names were talking about how amazing it is.

Now i hear nothing about it.

Right, like that was soooo 2020.
Everyone is on to the next bright and shiny object, which at the moment seems to be ChatGPT. Videos are in the past.

Combine them.
Make a deep fake of your prospect giving a testimonial about your product. Subject line: you a year from now

I think a lot of this falls into the email bucket, people have been trained to ignore most emails and thus that's where this falls.
Maybe LinkedIn could serve you better but it has always seemed higher effort and less genuine than just calling.

@BTQ : Who you’re sending these to is as important as what you’re sending. Maybe the message in your video isn’t connecting well with your prospects.

2 questions:
- are you sending the same video to everyone ?
- how many personas does your product/service cater to?

We can cancelled the service today lol
but they were personalized to each persona. SEO titles would get how we could help them with non-branded and branded keyword opportunities.
Ecom personas would get how the software would help with improving conversion rate and <redacted> the customer journey.
Basically a small fraction of prospects would even open the videos, even less actually would watch the whole thing.

Very interesting ! I seldom toot my own horn, but I understand the outbound prospecting space quite well.

If you want, you can share a couple of these videos with me over DM, and u can give your a more detailed feedback.

If you’re not comfortable, totally fine.

I have started to do it once I found out about ChatGPT, but have not had much success

I don't typically email videos - but when I do, i've already had a conversation with the prospect. If the conversation dies or if they are unresponsive, it's a great way to add a human touch to email. It grabs people's attention.

I think for pure cold outreach, it can be tough and it can get flagged in cold emails.

Another place i'll use it is on LI - if I am connected to someone, i'll leave voice and video notes to grab attention and get a response.

I think there is a mix of email and video/gif/meme that can be used.
At the end of the day, all we are trying to do is grab someone's attention, make it memorable, differentiate ourselves.
I think it does depend on who you're selling into. Some departments/personas are more apt to respond to video compared to others.

OpenAI/ChatGPT is a prospective customer of mine and I've been using ChatGPT to try and get me in - hasn't got me in, yet.

I liked the idea. However, people notice its a cold outreach and clicking the video is additional friction

I’ve been having some recent success using loom. But sharing the link directly via loom so it appears internal

Personalization at that scale takes way too long
