Has anyone heard a company called Pingsafe?

Hello all,

Those who already know me are aware that I had been planning to move from Martech sales back to IT sales and I got an opportunity to work for a startup cybersecurity company called PingSafe which competes with the likes of Orca security and Palo Alto in the CNAAP space.

Before I took up the offer, I wanted to know some feedback about the company and maybe some suggestions on do I take this up or not.

I do understand the risks of being an early employee but at the same time, if this goes big, there is a good chance that I get to grow big as well.

Edit: - What I understand from the basic understanding about their offering is that they have done a vertical integration (taken from open source) & put a management layer and doing it in a cost-efficient way. I do understand that vertically integrated products require good story telling in order to make a sale. But the guys who has expertise in this, do you think a product built in this way is difficult to sell?

Please share your thoughts. Thanks!

CNAPP and CSPM are great products to sell to any company that develops and hosts software in the cloud

Yeah I was thinking the same especially considering the fact that way too many customers in India are on cloud right now.

Considering that, what would be your advise? Even though it's small, do I give it a shot?

I don’t know the company. And this isn’t the last time you’ll hear that should you take the role. But there is no shame in betting on your own ability, ever. You’re fortunate to have the opportunity. Might just be a moment to seize. Good luck!

Thanks a lot. While I wanted to take this up, I was a little hesitant considering its a startup and they are working towards raising capital from investors. I was not sure about it but this helps.

Looks like a clone of wiz/orca but based in India. Will you be selling to the Indian market?

Yes, it is similar to these solutions.
And yes, I will be selling to Indian market only.

I don't think wiz or orca have a significant presence in India. Neither employees or many customers or partners.

Pingsafe might have an advantage of they can do what wiz/orca did in cspm/cnapp but in an untapped region.

I'd want to understand the health of their business (ARR, NRR, burn rate & runway).

If those check out definitely reach out to current and former employees.

They're very new and fairly small at the moment. Their customer base is of 100 customers generating about 1.4M$ ARR.
Burn rate is low currently as the process of expansion is picking up right now.

At the moment, they have a pre-seed from Sequoia and plans to raise another round in about 12 months time.

This is the info that I have that I could share.

I know a person working there and he's the one who wants me in. But I'm trying to do my due diligence before I sign the offer. Hence, reaching out for help and advise.

I haven’t heard about it, you got to be confident enough to take this up. There is always a give and take, risk vs no risk. All the best !

Hey! Thanks for your input.
I still feel that I should take a little risk with this one and see where it lands.

With more risk you have more returns so good luck. Change is the only constant !
