Help please! Lost from Travel-Tech to SAAS...

Hi guys! Here we go to ask you a few questions or feedback.

I work in sales in one of the biggest 3 otas in the travel world. I guess is a good start to get chances with good saas copanies, already got interviews in Salesforce (2) Linkedin and Google. But the answer was always the same.No. No because of the non attractive travel industry of sales for transitioning to Saas. I feel like the sales in travel industry are base on future transactions so its more difficult to show up accomplishment to the Saas companies? What you think? Any recommendations?

Discuss your process, how high you rank within your team, and how you learn the product and the value leading to how you adapt to the SAAS roles

Gold again, Kosta. Right again. Highlight the accomplishments. Tech sales is still sales. Youโ€™re selling a solution that solves a requirement. SaaS is a delivery model for tech sales; if youโ€™re comfortable selling technology, then you can speak to that.

Was the travel B2C? If so, the bigger transition will not be from the travel vertical to the tech vertical, but will be from B2C to B2B. You may want to focus on SMB roles, as they will more closely align with your experience.

Sorry guys, next time will take more attention. Iโ€™m from Spain, English is not my first language. I need to review my posts more before sending them ๐Ÿ˜…

OTA = online travel agency? I had to Google to confirm. Sounds like you're getting through the door, but then perhaps are not converting your current business lingo to relevant lingo SF/LI/Google are using.

I have been going through rounds of interviewing myself. Currently, I'm selling SaaS in a niche industry for a scale-up. These interviewers understand SaaS but know very little to nothing about my industry or business model.

I could be wrong, but this is the sense I'm getting based on your remarks on "future transactions" as the majority of SaaS is based on MRR or ARR and other future-looking metrics.

I'd love to help people close their first $1m SAAS deal. How can I connect with others?
