How do you end your emails?

We had a bit of an internal debate on this so I figured I'd bring it to the War Room. How do you sign off your email?

One of my sales "secrets" was using a PS at the end of my emails as a way of driving action.ย

Whenever you see a PS in a note, your brain is trained to pay special attention. It's reflex, Pavlovian even. Perhaps PS's are at the intersection of "something interesting" and "something personal" that force our monkey brains to zoom in. But zoom in we do, and it's best to use that to your advantage my fellow savages.ย

So here's how I'd end most of my "post-demo" emails:

====

Cheers,
SM

PS - Totally forgot to mention, you had brought up automatic SFDC syncing during our call. I pinged the eng team and ... good news. We can support and even migrate over your old API calls for free!

^^^

I would use the PS to highlight something the prospect was very excited about during the call and build additional momentum around it. It leaves the prospect with a positive taste in their mouth at the end of the note.ย

It's a subtle one, but these are the little tips and tricks that keep momentum on your side. Let inertia work in your favor, not against you.

Yeah, I used to recruit for rural Aus. and not being laid-back and "Aussie enough" was a bit of a turn-off for some. "Cheers" just stuck.ย

People seem to respond to it well though.

Now this is awesome, have you ever had a time where you had too many chess games going at once to keep up?ย

Also, what site do you use to link to for that?
RunDownTheStairs
Good Citizen

I use the chess.com app on my iPhone. If you go to the browser version you can find your shareable link to hyperlink. I typically have 8-10 games going at a time, so never really felt I've had too many to keep up. I also use the option that gives each player 5 days to make a move before it times out. So if I get busy, I always have a few days to make a move. I hate Instagram, so spend my bored time playing chess. Good luck.ย
