How important in work culture?

I think it is safe to say that sales often times can fairly depressing which can be further complicated by poor work culture. But consider if you were a top rep and crushing your quota, how unhappy would you need to be before you consider leaving your company for greener pastures?

Money only buys time. Not enough money? You're out? Too miserable despite the check? You're out. Mental wellness is HUGE and far too many companies trickle in bureaucracy or leave it to the health insurance to take care of it. People can get shunned for taking personal days but it's absolutely critical.

It's also critical for the employee to be clear about their needs and assure that their work can still get done.

A responsible employer will allow an employee to take as much time as they need as long as the work can get done in a reasonable time-frame. If it can't, then the employee should at least figure out some contingencies and/or backup.

Completely agree. The importance of your manager on your mental wellness and sanity is huge. If you don't have someone who's in your corner and looks out for your career growth and general success at the company, no amount of money will keep you there. People leave because of people.

Idc how much money I’m making happiness and overall mental health is more important.
You will likely sell more when you’re happy so the money can follow

well sooner or later if the company doesn't care about employee happiness it will have a very bad reputation in the market. Times have changed people aren't just looking for Salary and Position for selecting a job opportunity.

Sometimes it's the people that make work bareble. I'd be long gone if it weren't for my colleagues - I did however, get very lucky that I clicked with my team and we regularly meet up most weekends outside of work. However, I know people earning bank but absolutely hate their job as it's full of boring old farts and sassy little girls...but they stay for the money. It's definitely a matter of luck to if you hit the right ratio!
