How much lead time do you typically receive upon knowing you are having an annual review?

At other jobs it's basically announced weeks in advance that leadership is going to make their rounds. Mostly a front half and back half review often with pre work items to accomplish prior to the review. I'm sure everyone has seen something slightly different, but for the majority there is some structure in these reviews.

I just received an impromptu invite with less than one hour prior to my employee annual review. ๐Ÿง

No annual review here.ย  ย  We do online updates for our own personal growth, but that's it.

I personally like the more โ€˜casualโ€™ check in updates for career pathing than a prefilled employee annual review. Especially with no proper notice. Itโ€™s not even near my work anniversary ๐Ÿคฆโ€โ™‚๏ธ

We don't have formal annual reviews. The rest of the company does, but not sales. Hit your number and come in under budget are the two rules we have. We also don't have weekly sales meetings with our manager. Management will check in with you from time to time and will visit a few customers with you throughout the year. Once a month we have a call to go over pipeline leading up to their leadership meetings. That's it.ย

Exactly! Your reality is unimaginable with my current employer. Think itโ€™s time for me to look for an opportunity where thereโ€™s no random employee review during revenue generating hours.

I would check Repvue. I'm always cautious of a single persons point of view. Look at the larger trends

I'd take that offer in a heartbeat if I was still in Medical Device Sales.

FEELINGS- Your commission is annual (ARR) but the customer paid monthly (MRR) and if there is a churn in the next few months, the company will deduct by increasing your quota and taking the equivalent amount $$ from your quota in the next month.
