How much % variable is dependent on you closing a sale?

I have seen some orgs keeping just 5% variable cap and taking the rest of the money. I feel this is unjust towards sales execs

Well I get paid 5% of the ACV if Iโ€™m doing 40-100% my quota and anything above 6%. Is that a consistent figure where you are too?ย

6% is pretty average for enterprise on closed sales, but as far as total comp i have seen 40-60% of OTE is based on variable commish
