How to generate lists of new hires across an industry?

Looking for a tool/solution/method that can help identify new hires, I've heard a lot about this signal but have never actually seen how it's done. How do you guys do it?

Sales Nav has a filter for new in their role

Or are you asking how to generate a list for potential new hires

Is the filter good? IMO Sales Nav filters are very hit or miss (Apollo is even worse)

No, this isn't for potential new hires. I'm looking to reach out to people who just started at their current role. These are usually good targets for outbound.

I believe this filter is exactly what you are looking for
You can also do a save search and get pinged when a new contact gets added. (They updated their profile for the new role)

Yeah basically you can put a max duration in role filter

I think Sales Nav is the best path.

Pro tip: don’t reach out for 90-120 days. They have no idea what they need to do or can do, regardless of level in the business.

100% agree with this. They are so early in their role, even if they love the product, they wont go up the chain this early.

However, if its a current client. Doing an intro is always smart even if they are within 90 days

Loaded question but what's the most effective signal you've found in terms of timing to target a prospect?

Lost opps with the reason "Lost interest" where we built out a quote in the crm

This gives me an understanding of the pricing they were shown, what they are interested and why they were. Now I just need to re-engage

That's a question best directed at a founder/CEO or hiring manager.
The largest group here are Sales Execs - mostly ICs.

Fair enough, thought some SDRs around here might have suggestions.

Are you looking to sell to these folks or hire them?

Yeah, saw that in your answers. You got some good opinions about when to reach out. Good luck!

There must be a way to run a script where it looks through LinkedIn at all employees based on “most recent employer” and then looks at start date. Shouldn’t be too hard, but I don’t know the programint that would be needed.

The date checking part is easy, it's the scraping Linkedin at scale that gets expensive with all of the proxies.

Apollo has this filter also.

Is it good? I find most data on Apollo to be obscenely inaccurate

Don’t really know. Not sure you want to attack people brand new in their seats anyway. If there’s a lag it’s probably not a terrible thing.

Sales Nav has it but needs a lot of set-up.
Thanks to a previous post here I have my org exploring usergems, looks solid so far.
