Listen, let's face it. We need to focus on what we're good at. Learn a new trait - FINE.

Don't overdo it. It won't help you. You will spend loads of time and resources trying to do something that will not work.

Also, you don’t have to do sales or high end like investments for a ‘side hustle’. It can literally be anything. Uber, make furniture, consult, teach a class, coach a HS team. A side hustle doesn’t have to be some dramatic way to a make a bunch of additional money. What I would say, is if you are going to spend extra time away from work, family, etc for this, then you should enjoy whatever the side hustle is.

Anybody else getting invitations to be a franchise owner? Trying to sell it as an investment rather than the full time grind it really is. The LAST thing I want to do at my age.

And I agree with the post in general. Things are usually not as easy as others try to make it seem.

I’m sure they target people in my general demographic- getting closer to retirement than starting out, and theoretically looking for somewhere to invest. Try to make it seem like you have to do very little to get your sweet return. They’d be better served reaching out to anybody other than AE/SE though. If you’ve been in sales this long, you’re an avowed skeptic, or should be.
