I start a new job : Cyber Security SaaS

Hello hello hello!

It's been a hectic few weeks. Side hustles. Post-engagement shenanigans. A dog. Getting my hustler self back. Loved the journey for me.

Now. I start my new journey. I sold different tools so far. Supply Chain, Payment gateways and others. Cyber security is intimidatingly new for me. And i am so excited.

I start in 2 weeks btw. But I have already begun taking courses of what compliance is, what security is, why is cyber security important and what not. Interesting space.

I want to keep sharing my updates, proud moments, failures and everything in the war room. Hoping to share dozens of it.

Last job was more of a lull, but I am positive now.

I'm in Cyber - There is SO MUCH to it. So many different layers, and most companies offer only point-solutions, or otherwise don't have complete coverage of the entire space.

Be sure to do some research on the specific area your new employer / role covers.

One of the best things that has helped me is understanding the different specific compliance requirements - Many come from NIST. This will help you quickly not seem like an idiot talking to customers who have to look at these standards every single day.

The biggest issue you will find selling in the space is if the product is a need to have vs a huge benefit to have. The needs always win vs anything else. We are expecting downturn in cyber outside of the needs, but a rebound in the end of 24.
