Also have a recent memory of this! When my son was in Kindergarten, his school aftercare program sent the kids home with a box each to sell. A few days later, I notice that the box is...just about empty.
Little dude had taken "just one" more than a few times, but kept the box lid closed, thinking we wouldn't notice. He must have eaten about 20 of them in those few days.
