Industry wise next 2-4 years, which iyo is has a better outlook? The “Data’s” or “Clouds?”

Savages and Suckbags: currently working at a "big dog" ent software company but am very intrigued around the "datas" (bricks, dog, snow, etc).

with friends at a few big players I'm hearing hiring freezes vs. the data warehouses, monitorings, etc are hiring and poaching like crazy. even verticalizing like Google, Salesforce, etc

anyone make this move recently or have an opinion on it?

following this - heard of some people making insane money at snow & bricks. heard rumblings that there's some weird stuff going down at dog but people are going to ride it out.

Biased but I sell both cloud infrastructure & cloud data/AI products.

Deal value is WAYYY higher for infra than AI/data. Infra is essential to keeping the lights on, data is for competitive advantage, which is sadly a “nice to have” for a lot of companies.

Just started working with a new data company based out of Israel. You know making money off ex spy shit. It's data based and ubiquitous without anyone knowing. This is huge. Data wins.
