I would certainly ask the difference between 1 singular object, just to confuse them. Like, “What’s the difference between a duck?” Then hit them with “Why is providing context when asking a question important?”

Seriously – have you googled questions to ask in a sales interview?

Also, I would check salesGPT. This question has been answered a lot.

Check the search bar. A question just like this was asked last week - pretty sure you’ll find some good suggestions.

Put it this way. I hate Teams. I had to reschedule because teams doesn’t work well on MAC. Couldn’t get it to connect. 🤯. Trying again on Monday. Got more ammo.

The question to be asked:

How do you deal with stress in business(to figure out their layoff/firing pattern)

What are the growth plans? - If it’s a small company, they might be interested in growing it slowly. (Ask yourself if you want that)

Which Market is working the best for them and is there any pattern? Industries, poc’s etc.

So the things you covered in the 1st interview sound right - what you want to do is show business acumen when talking with c level executives.

Asking questions that don’t only pertain to you and the role but also his objectives (for the business and his personal goals).

Biggest mistake will asking questions that only apply to you.

Asking about how he sees their place in the market over the next few years.

What are his biggest risks he’s trying to mitigate against.

New ideas on how he plans to make sales more productive in an efficient and sustainable manner.

Asking about how he views marketing and sales teams should exist together. Where is the biggest untapped areas for growth in his opinion?

What is the biggest reasons customers churn? Biggest reasons customers end up going with a no decision or a competitive offer? Which happens more often?

How does he think about challenges and downswings in sales - what levers does he believe exist to get back on track?

What has he doubled down on recently that was a success? What has he doubled downed on that hasn’t worked out, and why didn’t it work?

You get the point.
