Interview Query

Hi Everyone,

I was recently asked in a Sales Interview that "How many new logos were added in the last 3 quarters while selling to Enterprise"

What should be a good answer to this question? On an average, what is a number that would be good?

For context: I sell software solutions to both SMB's and Enterprise as we have multiple products.

As in a job interview? You should know what good is if you’ve been selling enterprise. What product? Industry? No way we can answer that for you without context.

There is no average, depends on what you're selling

There's too much that is missing here.

How long is your cycle? What is your internal average?

How many were added? I’m not seeing this as a trick question.

Yeah, I mean, if they are asking how many new logos you closed, answer that. And find out why they’re asking as the pirate suggested.

Just curious if you find this by running a quick report in your crm tool.

So it could be that this new organization has a target about adding new logos 🎯 That is why they ask.

And the thing is you could have closed something that was x10 larger than their average deal size on those new logos.

So without having context, I would answer the truth and the deal size and then ask a reverse question... Sounds like you have a target around new logos... What's your average deal value. Then once they reply you will know more and know how to answer

Need context here. If this is a job interview with a competitor, you may be violating a NDA here if you provide them that info.

Also, there is no average - its just what it is. One Q can be zero and the next 15.

Kinda tricky, they might be just testing you to see how much you'll keep your old employer's data confidential ,accordingly how much you're gonna deal with theirs, best answer to me is "They were just many, but wouldn't be able to verify the exact no. till reaching my old/existing employer first"!

I dont see the problem here if they are asking it based on your performance.
