Is this performance enhancement plan normal??

I'm three months into my role as an SDR. I absolutely crushed quota on month one. Month two I was burnt out and hit 50% of quota and now I'm on a performance enhancement plan. If I don't hit quota this month I'll be fired. Is this type of plan normal for saas?

Sadly some leaders manager via a spreadsheet. You either make your numbers and get to play the game again next month or you don’t and out comes the PIP.

Don't blame management for your poor performance. Sales is cyclical. You had "youthful exuberance" helping you in month 1, but consistency is the key to success.
I don't know your work habits, personal habits, office culture/politics, learning curve, industry, company/product viability, etc. I also don't know who you should be setting meetings with, but I do know that you have a manager and you have more senior sales colleagues who should be guiding you on a regular basis.
And there should be other KPIs you should be tracked on. I would discuss those with your manager.

Did you do anything outside of performance to get a PIP? Or very low on daily output or just making calls on Friday. Or Like arguing with leadership. I’m just shocked a company would do one this early.

No, I met expectations on dials every day. I did have one bad week at the beginning of the month because I was just so burnt out.

And no, it seems harsh to be on a PIP so soon.
A suggestion for you is to get explicit direction from management on how to get out of the PIP, as well as who you should be booking meetings with. If you are getting mixed messages, are you comfortable talking with your manager about the confusion, and what you should do about contradictory information? It may be a misunderstanding, and a good manager should be helping you decode the situation.
Also, burn out is a real thing. Please make sure you take time to take care of yourself both with breaks at work and activities that you enjoy outside of work.
