Laid off from Enterprise role - what next?

First time poster, long time silent stalker.

I was laid off from an Enterprise role due to the company shifting strategy and me being located in the wrong geography. Was only at the gig for 4 months and they took me out of a job where I was number 1 at the company.

4 months ago I was being aggressively recruited by many companies. Today, it looks more like a barren wasteland… none of the companies I’ve seen hiring look exciting to work for.

Should I consider taking a more junior sales role? Should I just chill? Anyone looking for someone with experience? Thanks

Flip on the open to work on LinkedIn, the recruiters are climbing back into my inbox on a daily basis. I think hiring is picking up. Don't discount a Mid Market role today. Lots of MM reps hitting/over achieving quota with more at bats vs. Enterprise reps in my network.

Did you like you old company, did you leave on terms? If you were the number 1 rep I assume they would want you back

Sorry to hear this. Whereabouts in the country are you?
Looking for only remote?

I've seen a fair bit of activity, but usually smaller orgs and more MM.
What are you looking for?

Sorry to hear about this. It is a wasteland at the moment with tumbleweed balls rolling about in the job market. Can you ask for your old job back? Take some time off to regroup and then start looking. Good luck! You smashed it once and you will do it again

Yeah, right now is tough. There is going to be a small uptick in the next month, but a lot of companies are bracing for a recession that may or may not come. I’d look at recruiters and reach out to your network while applying, then pull the trigger if one doesn’t work.

That sucks. Similar thing happened to me in my most recent role (it’s not on my resume).

I assume you can’t go back to your previous company. Only thing to do is move forward.

Sometimes you take a job temporarily til you land the job you really want. That may be the case for you.

Good luck!
