Let's talk CRMs

Hey savages,

Let's hear from you what you like/dislike about different CRM's you have used, your favorite features and what is a pain in the ass.

We are currently using Zendesk but as we grow we will be changing. Salesforce came up, are they the biggest because they're the best? I see a lot of memes about how long it takes to update, does it take longer than any other CRM or is it just making fun of the big guy?

What about a rolodex? I heard those are cutting-edge and organized.

From a BDM perspective you may find very little difference between solutions. The big value of SF over others is the back office function, reporting, integrations with other systems.

The equivalent discussion would be comparing QuickBooks to a NetSuite or Dynamics ERPs. You can do a lot of similar things in all of those systems, but the limitations of smaller systems can cripple your business down the road.

I think it only does better if you have the developers to manage it for your team. For smaller companies I prefer Hubspot.

For small companies I would totally recommend HubSpot. SF needs a dedicated admin no matter how big you are. However, at some point the business evolves and will outgrow the Hub. If that hyper growth is going to be 1-3 years just night the bullet and go with SF.

Hubspot for smaller orgs.
Salesforce for big orgs. At least, that's what I hear

Right answer.
SFDC is way too much for so many orgs.

I've used Hubspot and liked it. What makes Salesforce better for larger orgs?

I use hubspot too and I've never used SF. So idk what makes SF better but that's just what I hear on this app.

Reporting is rough, customization isn't as indepth, not as many integrations as SF. THere's companies that only exist because they are a SF addon.

SF is king, but pipedrive is underrated for cash strapped orgs.

Cheap startup style tool, it isn't pretty and doesn't have a mountain of integrations, but it will do everything you need to start.

Microsoft Dynamics.

Kidding, but I have used it which is sad to say.
As others said HubSpot for startups - SFDC once the org is more mature and needs to really tailor it to their organization specifically.

I've used three CRMs sand from what I've experienced... Salesforce practically talks to everything externally. So you can tie in marketing tech, lead gen tech, support tech, and enrichment tech all into the same CRM. But God Lord... is Salesforce expensive.

What CRM you should use honestly depends on how complex the current tech stack is and the deal cycles for the goods/services you sell.

SFDC is the dominant owner here, Hubspot may still offer a free CRM which I have heard good things about if you don't need a complex CRM. the thing about SFDC is that you need to have a really solid team to build it out for you for it to be a good system. I know nothing of how to do this.

I've played around with Pipedrive and thought it was pretty cool, the visuals, ease of use, and fields needed were all there, no real pain in the ass tbh.

Hubspot is the bread and butter, tried and true CRM that works.

Salesforce has always been the standard when it comes to companies in the growth stages and integrates with more things.
