LinkedIn Influencer Personal Hashtags

I’ve seen an uptick in LinkedIn “influencers” adding their own personal hashtags to their posts.

An example with my user name would be #GlenRossSalesTips

What is the point of this?

Is anyone actually clicking through these dude’s personal hashtags and reading through their posts. And even if that were the case, wouldn’t I just go to their profile and posts to see it.

This is sort of a rant because I think it’s really dumb when I see it but I’m also curious if there is real utility behind it?

i normally hashtag my linkedin posts with #thottie or #baddie. always get a good amount of views.

Ha! Agreed that it's so odd. It only makes sense if a group of people are using it. Otherwise, people can just go to your profile.

Creating a hashtag for yourself feels very much like people who quote themselves. It's a big ol' yikes.

Negotiations happen long before price comes up. The prospect(s) are trying to figure out if you’re a push over and if they can get a deal because you’re unprepared or desperate for a deal. They know long before it’s time to discuss the contract if they’re gonna be able to push you down or pay the sticker price.

Depends on how the plan is structured, but yes definitely. My current comp plan is based around acquisition only. No long term relationship, even though they are enterprise level. Come in, close or don’t close, and I’m gone.
