Manager that brought me into the company got fired. Top sales rep at our company was promoted into his place.

Leadership still has the new manager closing deals and "managing" our team at the same time. To say it's been an adjustment is an understatement. 1:1s are all about forecasting and rarely anything else.  Don't get me wrong - I'm an overcommunicator, and I for SURE need help. But when I bring up topics that need to be addressed/would require his involvement (i.e. SDR handoffs, lead flow with marketing, custom quote building) the response I get is irritated at best and he takes complete control of the process, even the deals I run, steamrolling my ownership and autonomy. Eventually have found that if I just treat our interactions like a mini-QBR, he's happy and I don't have to deal with him micromanaging.

What do y'all think? Good way to communicate this? Wait for the dust to settle a bit longer? Would love some advice/feedback.

Your manarep is probably swimming in anxiety and cortisol, which is manifesting in hyper-control and tunnel vision. Give them a little while to settle in and perhaps hire or ramp someone up to take over their closing role. If you're not in hot water then just keep swimming.

Don't say anything. This is normal, and it sounds like if you say something you are not going to get the answer you are looking for.
