MEDDIC or MEDDPICC? Which is the winning methodology for you?

How are you using these concepts and if you know of both, do you prefer one over the other?

What are your tips on how to get the most out of these in every sales process, making sure you're covering all the right parts?

Seems like there are many sales geeks in here, like me, and had to ask how you approach the different methodologies and if you prefer another than the ones I asked about.

Ok, It's a framework of the basic information you need to know in order to close a deal. That said just gathering the information doesn't really help you win, it what you do with the information, when you gain it and how you use it to make it clear you offer the best option based upon the information you have shared.

I may be in the minority here...

A lot of "sales concepts" are trash and regurgitated BS.

Love the comment! Do have a certain way of working or using the framework of a specific "concept"?

Be authentic. Listen to the customer and what issues they’re having. Use language that isn’t salesy. Communicate what you do really well and have a clear understanding of next steps so everyone’s on the same page.

I don’t think it’s much more complicated than this.

So true, no need to over complicate than being authentic and actually trying to understand the bigger picture.

It is, but also they do provide a framework for the things you'll need to understand. Over time, I've found most just reframe the same elements, so experience in one means you're usually capturing the important things for another, just named differently. Where they are really helpful in particular is for new (er) reps getting started out who need a framework so that they can build out their profile and recognize whether the prospect is a fit or not. For those who have done this for a while, much of this is reflexive.

Agree that theres is a lot of trash, MEDDIC or MEDDPICC or whatever process you use is important IMO though because having the ability to have a process to work through and iterate where needed is how you get better.

They're more checklists than anything, but they're super helpful for new reps or those who are new to larger more complex deal cycles.

Meddic is best in my opinion (with a grain of salt). You can include the paper process from meddpicc and include it in your mutual action plan when understanding legals steps. It’s just another thing to be aware of.

As an Enterprise AE I findMEDDPICC the best if you want all your reps to use the same methodology across the team. It also is clear to everyone where parts of your sales process might be lacking or you need to go back and get more information. Senior Exec like the methodology also because it helps with pipeline management better, especially with ENT deals where the legal and paper process can months...

I have also used Challenger which is good, but can only be pulled off with more experienced/senior AEs who have the ability to teach and challenge prospects thinking
