Monitors

finally getting a new monitor after 18 months. my office has two great ones, but since hybrid I need to upgrade. does anyone use a curved 34" monitor? added plus if it doubles as an Xbox screen. I'm not trying to spend a billion dollars on one.

I have not used a curved one, but it would be pretty sweet!

My current setup is - Dell Laptop that is the brains with a standard 14 inch screen,  24 inch monitor as the main screen I work on, and a 43" Frame TV on the wall across from my desk.

That’s pretty legit. I got some serious lag when I connected to my big tv. How do you set them up? When I have 3 screens I’m main screen web browser or shit force, laptop is ms teams, 3rd is outlook

Here is my breakdown of the setup, with no lag at all!

- Dell laptop, connected to the docking station with USB-C
- 24" Monitor connected to dock station with a Display Port Cable
- 43" Frame connected to dock station with HDMI
* I also have a Sonos Amp and a stereo pair of book shelf speakers connected to the TV, so I can use these speakers for when I am sick of wearing my headset.

The content on each screen is pretty fluid, but Outlook generally stays on the laptop and all the web based stuff, PDF files, and everything else floats between the monitor and the TV.

WFH gives me some flexibility on how I wanted my setup to be. If I have to sit in front of this shit all day long, I might as well enjoy it!!

have a 34' Dell curved monitor with power delivery. Frickin lifechanging and it cuts the wire mess. Two wires: One power to the Dell, one cable from Dell to laptop - for charging and screenshare.

Have I already mentioned the wires?

Call me what you want, just sign the damn contract
I can't work on a monitor that's bigger than 20 inches. I just end up ignoring half the fucking screen otherwise.

I have a laptop and a large monitor but I'd love a huge curved one and not use my laptop screen

I have a 342" dell curved monitor and play xbox on it - HIGHLY recommend. Its the S3221QS and I really like it. Its 4k and has good enough frame and refresh rates for the xbox

I'm on 2 29" LG ultrawide monitors, plus my mac. I don't need 4K and they're fast enough. I've never tried curved before, curious about the experience. These 2 + my mac get the job done really!

I really like the apple monitors but my current company only gives us Dell. I use the Dell monitor sometime when I feel like using it. I can also be pretty productive with just my laptop. I've never used a curved monitor and I don't think I would be willing to pay a lot of money and energy to try one.
