My first post here - New role

In sales for 13 years and at my current role last 5. Being pushed out of company after exceeding my number by 175% in 2022 and YTD at quota.

Looking to this community for support in finding a new role.

Thanks in advance!

What industry were you selling into? are you looking for more of the same or a new, greener pasture?
My first thought in these cases is to go with your number 1 competitor and bring your network along.
Happy to help, give us details and we'll do what we can!

That is crazy that a company is trying to push out a rep who is succeeding
What type of role are you looking for? What helped you succeed in your current role?
Highly recommend to start networking now since its a lot tougher job market out there now

If you are crushing your number why are you getting pushed out?

Likely that bad management wants younger talent for a fraction of the price. Of course they'll lose in the long run but on paper in the short term it'll look like they're saving money.

On that note. In the US employees, 40+ are considered a protected class.

Yeah, but that doesn't really mean shit. It's not about age, it's about employee cost.

I'm sure we both know many people in our lives that are 40+ and got boned by corporate America.

Thank you for all the support!! In PEO/Outsourced HR solutions currently selling to SMBs. I am looking for a move to mid-market or Enterprise sales in tech at this point in my career.

Sorry to hear that. Market is too too thought but that doesn’t mean there are no jobs. Start building relationship with relevant people in the industry company you want to work with. Not guaranteed but you might end up meeting the right guy.
