Need Advice with a Dog

I recently helped out a friend and let his dog stay with me for the week while he is in Europe.

I was told this pup was well trained and it would not be an issue if its left alone for a couple hours. Never barks, sleeps in his crate, and is super easy going.

Unfortately, this dog has a lot more energy and is barking constantly if I am not playing with it. If I am in a meeting in my office, its barking through the meeting which other people can hear when I am off mute. The dog is ok when I am working in the same room but it jumps on me a couple times or is in the background playing.

So my question is, given I am not going to be able to train it since its only with me for a short stint.

Is it better to be on video with a dog making a cameo and not barking or having a bark in the background when you are not off mute?

IMO - everyone would rather see the dog than to hear it.

Could be an icebreaker, tbh. Depends on the audience, but most people would be very receptive to seeing a pet.

Every single time I sit a doggo they end up being the star. And every single time it puts meeting participants in a better mood.

The cameo certainly brings a pleasant vibe to the situation because most people love dogs and can relate to the antics some dogs exhibit. Speaking for myself, I would say something like, "Yeah, ok, just show me where to sign, but put your dog back on the screen."

Show the doggo. Absolutely no harm. Milk that puppy presence. Makes you a sensitive and trustworthy partner.

Is there an option Kosta to leave it at any animal institution for a paid duration after letting him know that first, then he can pay you back after explaining the situation.
As although I love dogs ,but apparently it causes you much distraction and that lack of focus may impact your deals and your numbers!

Honestly, it's a great icebreaker and usually people in the office don't mind seeing a dog on camera with you, it's better than a kid. Also, provided you are getting work done and not distracted by it then you are all good as well. you probably think about it more than anyone else will.

Sounds worse than a small child.

Not barking is the lessor of the two evils.

Show the dog and if it rubs the customer the wrong way, fire the customer.

Probably a cat person and you don't want to work with those types anyway...
