Networking BDR<>sales director advice

So I am pretty much the only person who goes into the office (I like having the walk to work, focus area and separating my bedroom from workspace).

The enterprise sales directors are the only other people who show up sometimes and I have the chance to chat with a little since it's just us.

Do you have any tips on forming that relationship without being annoying? I'm on SMB right now and would love to move into enterprise soon. Or even get their recommendation when I'm applying to be an AE.

I would never get time on these guys calendar and I feel like I've put myself in a good place here now. Would love to get some mentoring from them too.

Just start asking questions, but make them intelligent.

That's what I was thinking - smart & genuine questions get respect, usually. People like people who are teachable.

That is one good reason to go to the office! I'd do what antiASKHOLE suggests, and start asking intelligent questions. Maybe write them down so you have a list of things you'd like to know and don't forget what you want to learn. Don't carry it with you, but refer to it while at your desk and internalize it. :)

They'll see you working diligently, on time, being successful. That is also a plus.

One of the key reasons why going to the office can be huge, is face to face time with leadership. Highly recommend reading these two articles in the academy if you have not yet. One is about finding a mentor which I think would be ideal. Get a director looking out for you, the other is about building your network. Hope this helps

nice!! good for you for being able to take advanatage of this opportunity.

Im with @antiASKHOLE. start asking questions to gain insight on things you are looking to learn more about.

make sure your questions are thoughtful and show you have done work to find the answer.

you're overthinking it.

don't be an asshole. be curious about what they do. find out how they got their journey.

share what's working for you and ask for feedback constantly.

once again, be a human and don't be weird.

Be transparent with them about your goals too. It's not enough to just speak with them.
