One vertical to sell into for the rest of your career which do you choose?

Of the major verticals I personally love selling into other software companies because they just get it but thereโ€™s a ton out there so which does the WR prefer?

Which Vertical

I put SaaS organisations just because I understand them the best. Also I would love to sell AWS hosting to them. My network is build around fairly small software companies at this point.

Iโ€™ve been into SaaS most of my career but do enjoy selling more in the Media department.ย

Selling tech to tech companies seems like it would be at least a low barrier to understanding entry.ย  I agree SaaS companies seem to just 'get it.'

Probably either government or mining. Tech can be good too, but tech can mean a $20k or $10M. It's a giant pain in the ass realizing someone in tech is a 20k sale 10min into the conversation.ย

SaaS companies are often selling technology and so they buy technology and often ahead of the curve. They also are more fun to sell into as they also appreciate the novelty of tech solutions from my experience.ย

I love the industry I'm in right now because I'm not limited by a vertical. Virtually any business that has employees has a need for my product.

Yes, I sell to multiple verticals as well and itโ€™s awesome. More so the question was if you had to pick one which would you choose?

If I had to, I'd probably go with charities/not for profits.

Is starting your own business the only option for a laid-off salesperson after you reach the milestone age of 50 ? How does one get hired at 50+ without compromising pay, dignity, location and happiness ?
