Interviewing for a SAAS enterprise role (sales - very technology-oriented - large deals, etc.) and was told the next step is a plum.io assessment. Does anyone have any insights or tips with this?

Looks like a pretty run of the mill behavioural assessment. Looking for drive, collaboration etc. I wouldn't overthink it too much.

Looks like they have some that are skills-based.. Did they give you any other details into what kind? Cognitive, behavioural, skill?

The recruiting email says it is to make sure I am a fit for what they are looking for. In my two rounds of interviews they have been looking for the obvious: sales experience, SAAS experience and B2B enterprise knowledge.

It'll like be a personality/behavioural assessment then - make sure you'll fit into the organization's culture and expectations of the role. Be consistent, don't try and say what you think they want as these assessments are designed for that. They're likely after the traits I outlined above.

Don't overthink it too much, I'm sure you'll be fine.

whenever there's an assessment, I politely decline. It never has gone well for me and the interview should be the assessment. Unless I'm desperate.

I've done so many and never had a problem. Also sold them.

Were the personality assessments the issue? Most sales people just breeze through those, and I know you're well suited to sales.

ughh companies still do these stupid behavioral assessments??

This is a red flag to me anytime a company puts any weight in what a tool like this tells them to do.
