Remoter Closing??

Does anyone in here do remote closing as a 1099 & par time time thing? Essentially I'd like to be a closer for 3-5 companies -- if someone has a similar business model of knowledge on the topic lmk!

Much easier, and better IMO, to do remote lead gen.

If you're a 1099, you don't want the scrutiny of being the person people point at for failures - "we put all this effort and money into bringing you leads and you can't close for 💩".

Better off dialing for dollars and getting paid on the lead gen.

Agreed.

Though remote closing sounds significantly better than this 'high ticket closer' nonsense

Hell, I'm still not sure what that means.

how do you find remote lead gen jobs? all the flex sdr side hustle jobs ive applied to on Bravado haven't lead to even an interview

Have never done it but seems like a lot. Closing roles require a very strong understanding of the product and the ICP. Like @Pachacuti mentioned, the reasons listed above are why lead gen is much more common for a part time gig

Thinking with the feedback i may do lead Gen first then scale into full cycle when I start meeting businesses with that challenge. I’ve done software B2B sales so I know a decent amount of business ICPs, however not down to the science like it may be required for XYZ business.

Yeah I think this is a good idea. Also gives you an in with some companies you’re doing lead gen for as you’ll not only have established that relationship, but you’ll also be learning the offering a bit by doing such

I disagree, you only have to know your product and ICP better than the competition's closer does, and that's real easy.

I get your point but I definitely think the complexity of the product has a role in it. Some industries just require a deeper understanding than others.

I tired it
Or sucks

1) you have to 5 people interested in your services
2) do you have a FT job? How will you manage closing for all of them?
3) I think this can only work with non-complex products, you simply won’t have the time to learn about the product, the use cases, ICP, technicalities etc for 5 different products

I would love to be proven wrong though 🎉🎉🎉

Everyone I know that has done this tends to burn out way quicker than they realize. Just my two cents but more might not be more in this situation.

My idea is — I don’t mind working long hours, but would rather be building equity in myself at this point in my career (6 years in). I’m thinking about specializing solely on simple service based businesses w $5k+ ticket price. I have FT job but I want to build something myself. Still in the works I wouldn’t rush to a rash decision

Seems like a way to get easily screwed if they don't feel like paying you out for closing deals. What do I know though
