Repeating a word in a demo - about to choke someone!

I'm sitting on a demo right now. Our partner company is driving it so I'm just along for the ride. The presenter from the partner company has said the word "basically" over 50 times in the first hour. Its driving me crazy!!!!!!

I don't want to trip her up by texting her to knock it off. However I can see it in prospect's faces each time she says "basically".

Having had extensive sales trainings in the past, it grates on me when I hear things like repeated ums, ahs, etc.

I was one of them before but I guess I have improved a lot. Sticky note on my desktop reminds me to control my fillers.

It drives me especially crazy when I catch myself doing it. Verbal tics annoy the heck out of everyone. If I'm doing it, I remind myself to slow down and focus on the message, not just filling the air space with noise.

It’s a crutch word. Very common, annoying and hard to break if they don’t have any self awareness about it.

Made the right move not pinging them. Usually if they use filler words it’s because they are nervous, pointing it out would only make it worse
