Resume help - difference between Senior SDR vs. Business Development Manager?

I've been working as a partner alliance Director / Manager for the past couple of years and cannot find a job now, after 7 months of fulltime applying (was laid off 7 months ago). I'm giving up on this and now at least trying to secure a Senior SDR / BDR / Inside Sales / entry level junior AE role. I paid a resume expert to re-do my Partner Manger rezzie, and he said he would revise it and create a new "Biz Dev / sales" resume for an extra $50. My question is - does a resume for a Senior SDR or Biz Dev or AE need to be different? Do I need a new rezzie for each different title / role? Or can I have the same accomplishments on there, such as "Attained 110% of quota". Does that stat 'fly' across these roles? Thank you!

A SDR and a BDR could be the same thing. But it also could NOT be the same - it differs between organizations. IMO, a SDR carries a quota filled with email, call, and meeting metrics. A BDR may actually have a real quota, or it may not.
Don't be afraid to change your title to better match a job description.

I always thought that it was broken out by inbound vs outbound. But I could be wrong, only got into sales in the start-up world as a VP of Sales (thanks finance) if a start-up.

My suggestion would be: Since you’ve already paid someone to make a resume, I’d ask you to use that and make 5-6 resumes based on different job requirements and use keywords that are mentioned in the JD.

Titles don’t matter, the description does. In this side of sales you can be a Manager, Associate Manager, SDR, BDR, BDM and still end up doing the same thing.

So, make your resume relevant for the job you’re applying to.

All the best.

whatever the title is doesn't matter much, it's the sustenance of the job you did and how you performed that matter.

Agreed. Titles for the same job can vary widely from company to company, even in the same industry.

From a SaaS perspective, BDM manages people where as a senior SDR is a senior individual contributor who handles inbound.
BDR if you do outbound

Achievements translate no matter what.
SDR=BDR
Senior SDR = Senior BDR
BDM can either manage people or biz dev, so maybe no difference- maybe so depending on the org. 7 months is a long time. Keep fighting- break it before it breaks you.
