Sales Leaders: Pitch your favorite leadership book

Topic is simple enough - here's the format:

  • Title & Author
  • What makes this book exceptional
  • How it's changed the way you lead your sales team.

Try to get it all out in two sentences or less.

Patrick Lencione: The Five Dysfunctions of a Team.Β  Β First and foremost, its an easy read - framed as sort of a business fiction narrative.Β  Β Secondly, its just PACKED with gems you can use every single day in your leadership journey.Β  Its a book I read every year, and recommend my team also reads every year.Β

Jocko Wilink: Extreme Ownership.Β  Most would consider this book a bit "brotastic" but there really are a ton of interesting points on how you can use military strategy and tactics to navigate the corporate world.Β  I use concepts like "Cover and Move", "Prioritize and Execute" every single day.Β Β

Kim Scott: Radical Candor.Β  Β This book is heavy, so you'll likely have to read it a few times in your career to take it all in, but the concept is one I live by.Β  Having direct, positive but candid conversations with peers, bosses, employees is what makes successful business happen, when you don't - its a shit show.Β
