Share your Best All-Time Win

So this has been something lightly feathered over since the WR has been established, but nothing solid I could find with SalesGPT.

I had this prospect that I was chasing down for about 3.5 years, and they just kept dodging or would ghost the appointments we would schedule because "something would always come up".

My AE(I was a BDR at the time) and I were finally able to meet with the Executive Assistant and oh boy they were in some serious trouble. They were getting royally fucked in the ass by their current company, but the rep they had was friends with the owner and that's why they stayed with them for so long.

This turned out to be just over $500k sale and we ended up saving them a shit ton of money over a 5-year period while still having a ton of profit in the deal. Needless to say, I think the consistent and persistent follow-up was what really won this deal. So many times I wanted to give up and didn't and this was the biggest deal that I generated as a BDR.

$1.6M sale that I found by cold calling the CTO or Hearst Magazines. Nearly threw up when he picked up, but kept it cool and got the meeting. My AE treated me like a co-seller and taught me the process of closing a complex, F100 deal. I bagged 1% as the BDR and my AE sent me a nice check. He still sells as an AE at Salesforce (through a few acquisitions) and must be nearly 60.

That is awesome that he really took you under his wing like that. Would you say that this was a defining moment in sales for you too?

Mine was a $250k deal that started at my first ever conference. Met with the team at the conference where they shared that they loved the product and couldn't swing the price (had worked with another rep). 3 months later and we had done demos with every team, an onsite, and got a signed contract with no concessions. Was really a big jumping pad for my career so far

Nice deal, my highest to date was $545k as well. Friends dominate the business world, its always who you know right??? Sad they got taken advantage of

It makes me look back on things I had done with friends, while it may have been worth while, this type of shit makes me think twice of ever doing it again.

recently I teamed up with another team member for a $600k deal. My largest was a school job me and another account executive worked on together. Total for the school work, all in was about $2 million. That was fun.

How did that $ 2 million deal play out? What are the averages for commercial HVAC for you?

My longest follow up was around 2 years I think I talked to her initially my summer of freshman year and I ended up selling her my junior year around Christmas

I was selling insurance. Literally nothing after the first meeting she said letโ€™s have another meeting so I can ask some questions after looking it over for myself then she just ghosted me after that. After sending her probably a text every other week in the beginning to a text a month and an email every 3 months and a call every month for 2 years she finally said okay letโ€™s do it, youโ€™ve stayed consistent with me this long Iโ€™ll do business with you.

Definitely wasn't my biggest deal by any means, but won a deal with a an Instagram influencer/brand that was a fun process to work and one of the more well run sales cycles.
Was also the first time running a deal alongside one of our partners and I enjoyed the experience co-selling with another team to help get this across the line and get the signature from said influencer.

That's awesome. not that I care about "influencers", but your experience. It's moments like those that keep me staying in sales. I miss sports, so when a teamwork option comes around, I go all-in.

$780k TCV. Signed 12/30. Already had the order on a pallet wrapped and labeled so we could recognize revenue before EOY by having it shipped. Put me at 102% of quota and got a PR out of it.

Owww, I like this one,
Q1 2021. Had a 200k total deal, 110k of that was ACV 90 was services. Worked on it for 3 months, was going up against our biggest competitor and had multiple tech meetings with their IT teams and marketing, sales engineer from my side was solid on this as well, but your boy title knew his shit. Got to procurement and they had a cutoff date for the project. Got through legal and procurement in 2 weeks which was record time. Closed the deal went 150% to quota that quarter and rode off into the sunset because I left the company 2 quarters later.

Mine was inspired by a deal we lost at one company. I heard how the winning vendor lied about our solution and their own capabilities to win. Reached out to a sister company that did the same thing, got in front of them, took that business away from the incumbent other vendor. It was enormously satisfying. Not sure if that's my very favorite deal, but it's the one that comes to mind at the moment. I hate liars.

Hated that bull. Funny thing is, that dude ended up as a VP at my previous employer for a bit, via acquisition. Never reported directly to him, but there he was. Honest while there, though.
