Short Sales Training Exercises

Hey all, just joined today and happy to be here.

my company doesn’t do shit when it comes to sales training, so as a manager, I’ve been taking upon myself to make sure my reps are edumacated 🙃 I want them to be sales savages like everyone else here.

what are some effective training exercises I can work with them on during our weekly teamer?

~cheers

For open call trainings, make them transcribe a 2-3 minute call writing out every sound they make. Then have them highlight filler words in 1 color, value props in 1 color, and command statements/questions in 1 color.

They will quickly realize how shitty their open calls are and you can all brainstorm/roleplay more effective language.

For cold calling. Pair up in buddies and do 1 for 1 cold calling sessions together so they can discuss after the call how it could have gone better. Works well if you have experienced callers buddying weaker team members

Role playing 100%. We will also do a round robin where someone says a few sentences and then the next person has to continue with another question or statement to keep the "call" going...this keeps you on your toes and forces you to think on the fly to objections and other random things that happen throughout a conversation/call

Roleplaying full calls but also small parts.

for example just 15minutes Of answering objections every day for a full week makes those answers a reflex.
