I realized that we often frame our past in a very negative way rather than taking the lessons out of the past to shape our present.

the story we tell ourselves matters because it dectates how we behave in our professional and personal life.

tell yourself a positive story always and see magic happens.

ACTUALLY.... if you're reading "To Sell is Human", instead of telling yourself a positive story, you are better off asking yourself questions about how you can get to that positive story - how can I improve myself, how can I do better today, why do I want to do better than yesterday? Answering questions like that directly and in writing will produce far greater results than just telling yourself something.
