Come on now, I know you're no stranger to that given your athletic history.

Starts the day/week RIGHT.

I worked out yesterday morning (long weekend up here) but admittedly was up late with my wife watching Netflix so slept in this morning.

dude i have not set foot in a gym since my last college work out ๐Ÿ˜‚

Any work out i get now has to be some sort of activity haha.
But i cannot deny that it does feel great after.
I had a teammate in college that would always joke after we left the gym "man i wish we didnt do that!" cus we always felt great haha

It's not always for the sake of fun. I am a man of habit and routine. I just know that I am the culmination of the books I read and the people I get around. I can control the reading more than the association on a daily basis. It helps keep my mind clear and positive for growth.

A drink or two while grilling. Canโ€™t beat that, combined with tossing the kids around the lake all weekend.

Just focus on the positives. Have a plan. Be organized and ready for the week.
When I make sure my desk is clean and I know what to expect for my schedule on Monday, I feel more in control and ready to succeed.

Yeah, I get it, going back to work on Monday could be a pain. The way I view it, is that you have to live the business. I work a little over the weekends as well to prep. Just make sure you have things covered and you will not have the scaries the same way again.

Did a ton of yardwork Sunday morning, cleaned the heck out of a deck after that, and was too tired to do anything more than watch some baseball and read a good book. Nothing like accomplishing something unrelated to work to make work boogeymen recede.

I won't tell you what to do since you're supposedly a grown-up, but IME depending on any substance(s) to get through the day/week/whatever typically nails you in the end.

Not saying I'm perfect, I have my own vices (mostly working out to deal with my demons), but substances usually carry a cost to them you have to pay at some point.

I personally dont really have an issue with Weed. but I do think anything in excess can be a problem.

I dont have an issue with alcohol, personally. But that substance is much easier to have become a problem than weed in my mind.

but weed is just something to help relax. i never consume it while i am doing anything that requires my attention (work, parenting, tennis, ect)

like you dont understand why people just want to have like one beer, if they are not going to party hardy in the back yardy?

or now that you are out of the party phase of your life, you have no interest in drinking?

Lately I have been laying low on the partying so my Sundays=meal prep, workout, and sunshine. Still get a little bummed about going back into work, but waking up prepared, fresh and ready to crush the week definitely helps

If I'm on a party weekend, that's a whole different story...those scaries go into like Wednesday haha

Working out on a Sunday is such a weird conundrum. Like you absolutely hate to do it but after, and maybe a little treat like a cold beer or something after really seems to stave the stress away.

So true. Having a productive Sunday, crossing shit off a list to help me feel like Sunday was accomplishing. Also helps me avoid lying on the couch all day thinking about all the shit I didnโ€™t do or need to do Monday lol. The other 90% itโ€™s Netflix and fast food
