Tender SaaS solution - minimum contract duration

Hey Savages,

This one is a very specific question, if you don't know it, completely okay, we can still be friends. For those out there who use a saas tool for answering tenders/rfps (RFPIO, Loopio alike solutions), do you happen to know if there is a minimum contract duration ? 1 year or could be less ? In need of a solution but for a very specific usecase and limited duration.

(I know, I can reach out to above mentioned or similar companies but it's the holiday season and don't wanna have a full blown sales convo yet so any info could be immensely useful ๐Ÿ™)

I am not an expert in the proposal space, but the best place to find info on RFPs and process stuff will probably be proposalindustryexperts.com. It is run by a friend of mine named Kathryn Bennett who is amazing.

1 year tends to be the minimum most companies will go for contract duration.

Do you/your team use one or more like a general SaaS guess? Thank you, in any case

In my world the min contact length is 3 years but often try for 5. A 1 year contract would be buyer isnโ€™t serious.

This would be depending largely on industry and average deal size I think

In all the contracts I have drafted, and the ones I helped AEs draft; 1 year was bare minimum. Nothing less than that. I think anything less than that sounds more like a subscription, not sure.
