The best sector for beginners

Hello!!

A friend wants to dedicate himself to sales, he is somewhat bored with his work and he asked me which economic sector he should opt for. I really wouldn't know if there is one sector more "simple" than another, that's why I request the experience and knowledge of the war room. Any advice for him?

What are his interest? I don’t think what I find difficult might be difficult for others and vice versa.

Exactly. I'd start there, then I'd look at companies that align with that interest, then see what kind of sales departments/programs they have. Starting out, he'll want to make sure he is supported and trained properly.

i would agree. your friend should think about their interests and see what companies offer a product that they think is interesting. and see if they hire entry level sales ppl.

Yes, but some sectors are more technical or so I think, and he doesn't know, since I never work in sales he doesn't know what he likes I told him that if for example he knew and liked technology to go that way, it's simpler learn all the knowledge because he like it.

Your friend should research companies and products online then make a decision.

I dont think simple is the best option here. He should go for the best company he can get. A complex solution at a great company is way better than a simple solution at a shit company

He's not a seller yet and I don't know if it's a stage for him or if he really wants to follow the path, that's why I still haven't considered inviting him

I would go into a field that interests me. In sales, it will come across if you don't care for the field your in. Inhibiting your ability to reach your full potential.

Yes, I think it takes away your passion and that is essential in sales, especially in difficult times.

There's really no best sector for beginners, as such. Multiple factors:

- What their sweet spot is (what do they like more to talk about)
- What sector is actively hiring and not actively firing
- What background do they come from - studies of sorts

yada yada.

I agree, really in the end it depends on each one and what they like
