This isn't good content, and a work ethic that is comprised partially of harassing people isn't a good work ethic. It's pathological.

If I opt out of emails and get some little ๐Ÿ’ฉ calling me daily, Iโ€™m going after that little ๐Ÿ’ฉโ€™s job.

Iโ€™ll show you an equal and opposite reaction.

There is an opt out for a reason.

I think if they opt out, you're not supposed to continuing spamming them with phone calls. Opting out is already a "no", so wouldn't the effort be better spent finding people who will say "yes"?

I don't know, I guess I don't see the point of swimming against the current if I don't have to.

This shows a fundamental misunderstanding of what sales is. So many people push this high pressure bullshit not realizing you are driving customers away from you in droves.

There is no way this is a successful person. Anyone who has tried tactics like this knows that sales is about relationships and that no one will buy from someone who behaves like a stalker!

Oh man, that is a Zero Tolerance Behavior for sure at my company and I guess at any other company would never appreciate this practice and may lead to immediate termination to the employee who would do that and a full investigation to be done on the spot with him and may call his manager to it to witness if that was his common attitude of him dealing prospects this way in general or only at this case.
If that incident was true also that would darken the image some people may already have about Sales People generally and with those who might have had a similar situation before particularly.
Asking to be taken off the list should not be taken in a personal way by the sales rep by any means, as it usually means that the prospect doesn't have either time, money or even not interested totally to proceed with the sale which is fine.
I understand it might hurt a bit to lose a deal and more hurtful to be at the very last seconds instead of that terrible reply he could have answered:
Dear Prospect,
Thanks for the time you shared with me to get you the offer, and I hope it could have been done for a long mutual beneficial relationship between you and our company.
And since I totally understand your reasons for turning down our deal, I'm happy to inform you that it was just approved to consider having a final look on the price of (the product or the service) in a way that willcertainlylet you reconsider getting you a way better deal than what was offered before.
However, unfortunately I couldn't keep this extra advantage for you forever ,as the best I could do is to keep it only if you're interested to proceed and reply to this email within (set a time frame).
If we didn't receive your feedback by then we apologize for taking you off our list and turning down the extra (discount&advantage) we discussed.
If you ever consider changing your mind you will be welcome to reach me (try to provide a personal number or a second personal email) to take it further between the both of us.
Thanks for the time we had together and hope that chances will gather us soon.

There is a difference between being persistent, and being annoying. If anything wait awhile and try to reengage, politely and professionally, at a later time. Doing this will only prove the customer had the right thought in not doing business with you.

The person who posted this shit on linkedin has major problems. Email automation gave spammers the power to spam on a massive scale. When I see an unsubscribe link it screams "you are on an automated list" - why (the FUCK) would I take the time to respond to an automated email that was obviously not written for me????

Hmm... I'm trying to wrap my head around this. Are you discouraged that someone, who doesn't know you, would not want to be spammed? Really? And you are offended by this stranger who sees a message, that looks like a sales pitch, and decides not to see more sales pitches? Really?

Terrible advice. People are perfectly free to not want what you're selling. That's life.

If you take things in sales as "personal" you're in the wrong field.

People are opting out of getting emails they don't want. They aren't trying to opt you out of existence.
