Thoughts on this LinkedIn post from Will Allred?

seems like the seller was unprepared, however I feel like everyone from that company always writes the most passive aggressive posts on LinkedIn to pump their product.

"Thoughts" you ask?

LinkedIn influencers are the human equivalent of spambots. They're all just regurgitating the same tired advice, and they're not actually interested in helping anyone. They're trying to sell you their books, courses, and coaching programs. If you want to be a high-performing sales person, you need to get out there and actually talk to people, AKA WORK. You need to build relationships and understand needs. You can't do that by hiding behind a computer screen.

Unpopular and brave, BrainTank. I like you !!!
I also like Will, I think he is right, even if that rep was a new sales reps, they need to have the common sense to research the company a bit to know at the minimum what they do.
Also Will posted it to help other sellers and not to be mean IMO

I and many other people won't click the link even if it is a LinkedIn link... just sayin. It would be better to take a screenshot of the post and then put your thoughts on it.

I think his reasoning is completely valid and that seller learned a valuable lesson today.

Sales Rep
I like him and sometimes I feel like posts like these can be good insights to what the prospect thinks.
However, posts like this complaining about reps not combining and discovery is more on sales leadership not the reps

I think the complaint was more: you did 0 research and then when I told you exactly what I wanted you ignored it.

Sales Rep
But do you think reps being told and needing to quantify the pain will lead to them asking "How big of a pain is it" or maybe after listing off the competitors they know x product integrates better so they would want to know that.
Also I think the "solution" Will mentions is more personalization in outbound, seems to align too well with Lavender's product
when I feel the solution is having reps be more adaptable based on what the prospect has told you.

I like Will but agree with @RealPatrickBateman that you have to do the work. For the past 2 years I've seen Kyle Coleman, the 30mpc guys, Will - all people who I enjoy/think have solid advice, as far as sales "influencers" go - regurgitating the same 5 principles over and over with a different wrapper.
