Which leader is the most important to you as a sales rep?

As an individual contributor sales rep you want to believe in your leadership/management above you. But which leader do you think is the most important for you to believe in/respect/like/jive with/etc?

Of course not every level of leader above you is gonna be an incredible leader, so if you could only have one be great, which one?

I would say its going to be the one you spend the most time with. Unless you having a Director or VP be the sponsor on a ton of your deals and provides mentorship, it will most likely be your manager

Direct supervisor 100%
He's the one who can vocalize my (and my team's) concern to upper management and makes things move forward. He understands our problem since he's partially involved in our day-to-day and can relate it to VPs that only sees the big picture

My VP of Sales is awesome, and I have a great relationship with him, and he's not insane or driven by meaningless KPIs.

That said, my direct manager is the most important person to me at my job, and she's fantastic. She is very driven and directed and has unbelievable negotiation skills. I can trust that if she ends up in a 1:1 exec alignment call without me that not only will she not blow it, she'll probably walk out with an agreement. :)
