Why I love this place

Its so nice to be able to scroll through here and have 8/10 posts be either directly or partially applicable to what I do. Spending 5 or 10 minutes reading through posts of people who actually sell things unlike linkedin with 9/10 recycled content and 1/10 some CRO from a vc unicorn breaking their arm jerking themselves off about how great they are.

Am I alone in enjoying the safe haven here or am I just bad at filtering LI content.

The vast majority of us are here to get away from LI content. The minority come in, post LI-type content, get burned, and mostly leave.
RE filtering - I, too, browse from time to time to see what's up. What I found helps with some of the junk is when I start to see an abnormal number of posts I don't value in my feed because some distant contact of mine interacted with the post - is I unfollow that person. I don't get rid of the contact, but I also don't need to know that some late-middle-aged middle manager is liking all the heavily filtered MLM rep content. I do get perverse satisfaction from stamping all of that out and off my feed.

This has been a safe haven for me too. Being able to ask stupid questions without risking your boss seeing is great! and lots of good laughs too.
I do not follow any sales influencers on LI, that's the place where I can keep tabs on the industry I sell into and what my customers are posting, not where I go to learn.

I'm a retired sales director from a completely different industry but this platform and the individuals on it are as professional as it comes.

Although it's tech driven they have allowed me to add some imput on many different topics as long as it is relevant and can add insight as well as assistance to the person asking a question.

I'm also learning through all on the platform the ins and outs of the tech industry. So no you are not the only one enjoying this platform.
