Work with C Suites for less?

would you rather make a little less money and work as a AM role in the MM space no cold prospecting with strictly existing C Suites customers or Continue to be a AE in a MM role chasing deals?

Just want to hear some opinions

MM chasing deals. I like hunting over farming. it really just comes down to preference and what you want to do with your career. nothing wrong with either role

Do you also like the premature diarrhea it causes?

Agreed I think AM is a hood pathway into enterprise roles without burning yourself out

Selling to C levels they are spending big company money hunting would pay better but AM would be less stress

Yes and no. The bigger the company, the less c-level people actually spend. They provide strategic direction but it’s their operational people who actually spend.

Give me a solid director-level person who knows their business and can actually make a decision any day.

I Agree and disagree it just depends on what you’re selling and size of the business imo. If you’re selling big picture services that require multiple stakeholder approval give me c suites all day. If the product is niche enough for a director level to move forward with then I can agree.

It would depend on what the up side is for both roles.

if the AE role is more money than Id take the AE role.

im not a fan of listening to existing customers complain about shit so the AM role was never for me.

Depends on your lifestyle. Sales is a grind and stressful. AM is usually not. At this point with 2 kids and one on the way, I’d rather be an AM. If it were 5-10 years ago, I’d be chasing the paper.

Depends if you like being in sales or not. I'd rather be an AM because I just feel like it would be easier to milk a cow then chase it down.

I think that’s true and I think being an account manager helps you build a better case for working in a enterprise role

If sales people didn’t have quotas, and were paid just a flat rate of whatever they sold, do you think think that A)Salespeople would work just as hard? B) Create a better culture within the Sales Org? C) Create better relationships with their buyers?

Deal Story
SportSalesPro closed CA Women Lead for $7.5k to the C-Suite department
Sold a private event for a leadership seminar and happy hour for 75 people. Nothing too crazy, typical event, but closed in less than four weeks with a few add-on packages. Same challenges as recently ...
Say congrats!
