Y U No Run Reports Manager?

Every Monday morning...

"Hey guys, need your open Pipeline for the quarter."

We have Salesforce. We update our deals at the end of every week. Reports are easy.

I've already created a report for myself because fuck the maths. I've offered to build a team report, emailed to him on Monday morning, which he said he really doesn't need.

Am I being extra, like Guac?

Name one manager that actually looks at your SFDC reports instead of creating a fire drill request for a spreadsheet. I'll wait.

Hey, at least this is the best kind of weekly fire drill.

You know, as opposed to a major customer sat issue, change in quoting procedures that requires you to update all quotes NOW, etc...

Just another idiot in leadership. If it doesnโ€™t require you to jump through some hoop they canโ€™t justify their existence,

Absolutely insane. I've had plenty of managers that operate like this. Everything in a Google sheet. Like Bro we pay $1mm a year for sfdc yet you want shit in a free Google sheet and to do the math manually.

Some individuals should not be in a leadership role. It's unfortunate that you my friend happen to have one those guys. He doesn't see the potential in having someone who thinks outside the box. Work smarter not harder. You are the true leader of your team. Never settle for mediocrity.

I get asked by Sales Ops to update a spreadsheet with my latest notes in SFDC every week.

So I send them a link to the public SFDC report I created that gives them the latest notes.

If they can't be bothered to refresh the data in the spreadsheet, they can copy-paste it themselves.

Don't even get me started on why we're doing this with spreadsheets instead of directly in SFDC... Thanks 'experienced' reps that don't see value in CRM tools, and management that doesn't enforce the 'policy'.

I am selling something that doesnโ€™t FULLY exist yet. I tell them it is great for X, Y & Z reasons. They like the idea. See the need. How do I close this properly? IMPORTANT note: First sale only.
