Your age and tenure in the current company?

I am turning 30 this year and my longest role has been 2 years in the organization. I started in my current organization 6 months ago

I suppose sometimes I worry and my partner who is not in sales brags about me just chasing money because they have been in their role for 4 years.

Yes I chase money and proud of it.

I only got full time AE role at 24 and then I was doing call centers part time and projects and what not.

I tell myself that my base salary is much higher than it was 5 years ago. And my living conditions have improved. I have a nice car and nice stuff. Made club. Been on holidays.

There is no point in comparing because everyone is on a different path, however I am just curious where you all are at :)

Also what was the name of your first pet? JK.

Tenure goals depend on your career goals. If you want to lead and build 2 years is nothing. If you prefer to lone wolf it I think a couple years is the norm. Neither are bad choices, just depends on you.

And remember; comparison is the thief of joy.

They call me Daddy, Sales Daddy
Very few here are going to talk about their age and tenure at companies. Most, like me, value our anonymity.

Perhaps if you reworded your question you would get better results.

Older than 30 but younger than 50 and longest stretch was 3 years slinging copiers. Coming up on 2 years at the current org.

I’m old, but went into sales after some time in finance. It was just and east lateral with less hours after starting in FinTech.

Tenure at company is meaningless for most companies because they will lay workers off if it will positively affect stock prices.

And … you’re in sales. Of course you chase $$. It’s in the job description.

What do I have to brag about? No I suppose to find support for hey you can job hop and be successful and we too did this in our 20s but guess I could have worded it better
