Knowledge of product allows you to believe in it

Maybe I gave a bad example let's try this example. I know everything about crystals but I don't believe in healing or mystical properties dosent mean i dont know what they are known for. I just dint believe.

But as a sales person if you believe in crystals but don't know anything about them, how can you help a customers

Yeah Iโ€™m not sure if thats even accurate? This stipulates that your selling something based on a โ€˜benefitโ€™ that isnโ€™t real or doesnโ€™t work. Even if believe in it, in the end itโ€™s still not true.

To believe in something, to back a product, you have to know it. Touch it, operate it, etc. to be able to stand behind it.

If I asked you to sell something you didnโ€™t know how comfortable would you be? People can sense when someone is unsure or if someone is wavering. You solve that issue by knowing the product first.

Now knowing the product doesnโ€™t mean you will believe in it. But to believe, you must know it.

You could sit down with the customer, chop up your crystals and snort them. #bonding

I've seen people that are so passionate about the products they can outsell experts in the product

And Iโ€™m not saying itโ€™s not doable, or that their are not exceptions. But in my experience (and certainly industry) knowledge is the power.

You can believe with the little bit that you know you dont need to be an expert. Whatbyou think.

A conscious animated seller could outsell a sleeping SME if its a transactional sale. You gotta know your solution before you can even begin to find the problem when it goes long-cycle with multiple DMs. I'm going back to sleep.

The dilema is. Outside the other a passion salesman or a knowledgeable salesman

Caring about the problems that your customers are facing. This breeds belief and necessitates knowledge.

They don't care how much you care until they know how much you know.

This hasn't always been the case.
Used to be- don't care how much you know until they know how much you care. Now? They don't GAF until you establish yourself as knowledgeable in your industry and theirs.

Knowledge always comes first to me as that's how you're getting the required experience if you wanna apply for a promotion or even somewhere else.
Believing in your product is just a mind tactic you need to do with your brain -even if you know it's not the best product- to be able to sell it to the prospect and makes him believe you and in your product!

Not ethical but, if you know the product well you can dance around questions and be a little misguiding to make a sale. Belief can be blinding and make you think your product is unbeatable.

Wouldn't believing in your product lead to product knowledge?

It's like take a person to Nissan car factory in Japan. Going to believe that Nissan is the best car in theworld, for example. Now you take another salesman that been in Mercedes-Benz Ferrari Bugatti and also inNissan.
You put both on the same room to sellNissanone only knowsNissanand believes that Nissan is the best car in the world. The otherknowsall about cars anddosentbelievethatNissanis a good car .

Well this is another argument. Do you have to truly believe in a product to sell it? It certainly helps, but itโ€™s not required.

And again I just one I emphasize I don't know the answer my question what's your guy's opinion what we'll outsell passion or knowledge
