6sense for sales reps

Can I get a feel for who as an IC has actually used 6sense for prospecting or to head off competition in a deal?

I have limited experience with it and when I used it at my last company the data was not accurate or reliable.

6sense sounds great and demos well but once it's actually implemented it's lackluster

It's so expensive and marketing seems to think they can't do any kind of ABM strategy without it but I agree as an AE I couldn't find the value

I've found it typically tells me what I already know. And it's easily skewed by AE engagement. Meaning, all of my "hot accounts" are the ones I'm meeting with.

Curious where you'd actually see value in that type of data@makingfetchhappen? Is that intent data wasn't helpful to push a deal forward, that information wasn't reliable, or that you need more information for it to be helpful

I'm not at 6Sense, but work with AEs, so curious to understand what helps vs. not

It wasn't reliable. It told me a competitor was involved in a deal and when I asked the buyer they had no idea what I was talking about and ended up making it a competitive eval.

The data is only as good as what's in your CRM. If you don't have emails captured, you're not likely to have anything other than "anonymous person clicked on this link" kind of data, which can tell you if they're searching for interesting things and may be doing research.
I do use it to work with my BDRs on cadence and getting contacts at the companies where I see high level of intent data, but I can't say that it's been any kind of a game changer for me.

So at best it showed you if an account was researching a value prop or clicking around your business but bdr's still had to track down emails the old fashioned way?

Correct, it doesn't tell you who, other than vague geography (someone at Walmart in Arkansas is searching for "cloud security")

Do yall know how it compares to demandbase? Iโ€™ve personally found demandbase semi helpful but find the interface clunky. Never used 6sense though

It's been forever and a day since I thought of demandbase.
6Sense connects into SFDC and interfaces with the account record, or at least that's how we use it. I'm going to have to see if I can even remember how demandbase works.

6sense is terrible, Had it and hated it. It essentially tells you you're website is getting traffic but won't say who in the org is coming to view your website. So it doesn't let you target or specify the outreach or insight. Really you are better off saving the $$ on it and spending it elsewhere.

I've never used 6sense, but they're one of our competitors and we always have trouble beating them. Based on what I've heard from other clients, they can do some pretty cool stuff. BUT, I do also know that they come with a hefty price tag

Iโ€™ve never found it helpful. There are other options out there that are way better for sales teams to use that target the exact person with the initiatives that matter to you.

From what my industry buddies have told me... it's expensive software that tells you what a phone call usually addresses. Just call people and save yourself the cheddar.

We have it and I'm not sold. It's just such a large task to find out who might be the people searching. Their algorithms is above questioning but companies willl show up like they're in a decision phase when they're not even looking. Starts to feel like a lot of noise
