Air conversational AI Instagram reel

So you don't have to click the link:

Came across a reel on Instagram on how: "AI can now take full 5-40 minute long sales and customer service calls that sound like a human"

Website is air.ai. They're probably looking for a buyer or investments.

Video has a guy who's interested in buying a Tesla interact with conversational AI.

I haven't come across AI that could handle a spoken conversation. For me it seems super awkward still. And I think it will struggle for a few years with accents and technologies... What do you think?

That pause when itโ€™s trying to figure out whatโ€™s going on is gross. Better than some of the vendors that have fake keyboard typing though

As someone who works in this space, I wouldnโ€™t worry about it. This would be classified as an autodialer, which isnโ€™t going to work for outbound sales calls. Theyโ€™re very rarely used for anything other than service calls anymore, and the technology is heavily regulated. Huge costs for non compliance as well.

Secondly, itโ€™s all scripted based off the intents, so youโ€™d have to map for almost every possibility. It wonโ€™t be able to handle multiple questions in one ask or unplanned questions. Also, itโ€™s gonna be expensive and ROI is going to be hard to prove to CROs because customer adoption is going to be key. Is it actually going to boost sales? Probably not anytime soon

This is very helpful thank you. I feel better after reading this.
Regulation must be huge. I wouldn't want to talk to AI if I could talk to the human.
I agree that it's probably good few years until it would face any real adoption

taking away the human interaction removes value and understanding. It's not that great.

Soon it will be bots talking to bots and having meaningless conversation with each other.

Itโ€™s kind of already like that for social media engagement, with the suggested phrases for a post response. Taking all thought or actual engagement out of the mix, making everything shallower and much less meaningful, let alone memorable.

I've been following this kid Caleb Maddix for years now. I can't get a read on how full of shit he is. His dad, Matt Maddix, is on social media and is a total religious wack job. It's definitely a rabbit hole.

Oh okay! Thanks for sharing. Religious people sometimes have almost cult like following about them so it's good to have knowledge of that

Did sales automation ruin LinkedIn?
33% Yup, lack of personalization and lazy/broad targeting!!
39% The LinkedIn community is a bit of a dumpster fire lately anyway so who cares...
13% LinkedIn did it to themselves; ZoomInfo ate their lunch.
15% Nope, SDRs in India spammed the community into submission with irrelevant dross
